Lori Aguire, MSN, FNP-C, PMHS

Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program

​​

Lori is a bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner with expertise in pediatrics. She holds certification as a Pediatric Primary Care Mental Health Specialist (PMHS). She specializes in developmental, behavioral, and mental health including working with children with feeding disorders. Lori practices in a joint position through Pediatrics within the University of North Carolina medical system at both the Nunnelee Pediatric Specialty Clinics (Gastroenterology) at Novant Health and the Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Augustana University and a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University. She also earned a graduate certificate in autism spectrum disorders from University of North Carolina - Charlotte. She has published peer-reviewed work in The American Journal of Nursing. She has presented internationally on neurodevelopmental disorders and interprofessional care and earned numerous awards for her work internationally as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the US Department of State.
