Javid Rahaman, PhD, LBA, BCBA-D

Director, Behavior Management Programs & School Consultation Services

Dr. Rahaman is a licensed behavior analyst in North Carolina and a nationally board certified behavior analyst at the doctoral level. He earned his Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Rowan University, mentored by Bethany Raiff. During his practicum, Dr. Rahaman gained experience in the adult life skills program at the Princeton Child Development Institute and in the acute adult program at Bancroft NeuroRehab. He obtained his PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Nebraska Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Kevin Luczynski. Throughout his doctoral training, Dr. Rahaman contributed to the Prosocial Interactions Program at the Munroe-Meyer Institute of the University of Nebraska. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Severe Behavior Department at the Munroe-Meyer Institute under the guidance of Dr. Tara A. Fahmie and also took part in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disorders training program. Dr. Rahaman specializes in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of significant challenging behavior. He has authored several publications in this field and has participated in various grant-funded projects aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals exhibiting significant challenging behavior. Additionally, Dr. Rahaman serves on the editorial board for Behavioral Interventions.
